What's included in my session fee?

Each session fee includes the shooting time (one hour for portrait sessions & two hours for seniors) and the digital files of both digital & film photographs, available through an online gallery for 60 days, with a print release. You'll also receive a few sweet surprises along the way... but more on that later ;)

When will my gallery be ready?

In our contract, we will agree to a maximum of 5 weeks turnaround time. In most cases it takes closer to 3 weeks, but I keep 5 weeks in my contract in case something abnormal (illness, emergency, etc.) comes up. I want to be sure I get your photos delivered on time, so I build in a lot of extra time just to be safe!

I want more! Can I add things on to my session?

Absolutely! Y'all, I aim to SERVE, and that means flexibility and the ability to accommodate to your needs. One hour not enough time? No problem! Want to add prints to your package? Let's do it! Just let me know what you'd like to add on, and I will be oh-so happy to make it work.

What's your photographic style?

My greatest inspiration is film photography, which is why all of my sessions include both digital and film photos! I love natural light, especially at golden hour (I guarantee you'll hear me squeal at least once during our session when I find that PERFECT light). My photos have a soft, airy look to them, and I try my hardest to keep all the colors in our photos looking as natural and realistic as possible. After all, what I strive to do above all else is capture moments in time as they really happened, and that includes minimal color distortion. When editing, I match the digital photos to our film scans, keeping a consistent film look throughout the entire gallery you receive.

How do you approach posing?

Every photographer has a different approach to posing, and I personally take lots of pride in this aspect of my work! I prefer to direct you rather than give you strict, specific poses. The way you feel really shows on camera, so if you feel stiff and awkward, you'll likely look that way, too. Instead of telling you exactly what to do and risking some uncomfortable positions, I prefer to find the perfect light and location and give you some simple movements from there. Directing your movement allows you to move around naturally and effortlessly, meaning I get to capture YOU and your beautiful personality (and your organic interactions with others, if your session includes multiple people). That's what it's truly all about!

Why is film so important?

Y'all, I could write a NOVEL about this one. In fact, I'm working on something sorta like that now! Okay, it won't be an entire novel, but I do have a blog post in the works about why I shoot film and why I believe it is by far the best choice for my clients and my business. Check back soon to read more!

What time can we have our shoot?

In order to get that gorgeous, golden Florida light that makes my heart skip a few beats, we will shoot for the hour(s) before sunset, and our session will end when the light's all gone. The exact time changes throughout the year, so we'll come up with the perfect time once we pick our date! If you aren't available in the afternoon/evening in order to catch the sunset, we can also shoot right at/after the sunrise. I love sunrise sessions, but the light gets harsh a lot faster in the mornings, so they're definitely my second choice. I will not shoot in the middle of the day, unless you're having me along for an event that goes through midday hours.

Do you travel?

YES! I love to travel for sessions! Travel fees may apply for locations more than 15 miles away in order to cover gas, lodging, and any other accommodations I may require for the travel to/from our session.

How do we pay you?

Easy! We can either do online or physical payments, whichever is best for you. I use a neat system called Agree for my contracts, and if you choose to pay online, your deposit will be paid when you sign your contract online, and the remaining balance is automatically charged to that same card on the due date. You are more than welcome to pay early if you'd like, or just let the system take care of it for you! If you'd prefer physical payments, I accept both cash and checks. Whichever works best for you will work for me too!

Can we order prints through you? Do we have to?

You absolutely can! I believe so strongly in the value of printed photographs. You don't have to, however - I know prints are not everybody's cup of tea, so I don't require that prints be added to your package. If you'd like, print orders can be placed directly through your online gallery.

What makes you any different from other photographers?

Y'all, there is SO much talent here in Central Florida. No matter what photographer you choose to book for your session, I'm willing to bet you'll take great photos away from the day. So why the heck would you hire me?
In my opinion, the experience you have as my client is the most important part. When you work with me, you aren't just another customer handing me money; you become my friend. Yes, we will totally be friends by the end of our time together! I love people, and I've chosen to work in a small, personal, service-based industry so I can get to know & serve the beautiful people of my area as best I possibly can. I want to be a part of your life, get to know you personally, from our first messages to the final delivery. Chatting with you a whole bunch before and during our session allows me to get to know your personality & your story, which helps me to capture you even better on camera. From beginning to end, I love to pamper my clients, so expect some sweet surprises along the way! Seriously y'all, I love & appreciate my clients with my whole heart, and I strive to make them feel that. So in summary, what you get out of working with me is a lot more than some pretty photographs (but don't worry, you'll get lots of those too!) - it's lifelong memories, and (hopefully) a new friend too!

How can we book you officially?

First off, YAY!! I am SO excited to work with you! In order to officially book a session with me, please send me a message (either via the contact page above, by emailing hello@katetaramykin.com, or by calling/texting 407-416-4027), and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. From there, we'll decide on the details for our day (time/date/location/etc.), and I will then send you a contract and an invoice for a 50% non-refundable deposit. Both of these are required to secure your date and time.

What's included in the cost of our wedding?

Every wedding package comes with an engagement session, a certain number of hours of wedding day coverage, and the digital files of both digital & film photographs from your day, available through an online gallery for one year, with a print release. You'll also receive a few sweet surprises along the way... but more on that later ;)

When will my gallery be ready?

In our contract, we will agree to a maximum of 8 weeks turnaround time. In most cases it takes around 6 weeks, but I keep 8 weeks in my contract in case something abnormal (illness, emergency, etc.) comes up. I want to be sure I get your photos delivered on time, so I build in a lot of extra time just to be safe!

I want more! Can I add onto my package?

Absolutely! My job is to serve you on one of the biggest days of your life, and that means having the flexibility to accommodate to your every want/need. I also understand that each wedding day is entirely unique. I've created a few packages that best serve the majority of my clients, but if you want more, I am more than happy to accommodate. Just let me know what you need, and I will be oh-so happy to make it work.

Do you travel?

YES! I love to travel for weddings! Travel fees may apply for locations outside of the Orlando, FL area in order to cover gas, lodging, and any other accommodations I may require for the travel to/from your big day.

How and when do we pay you?

Easy! We can either do online or physical payments, whichever is best for you. I use a neat system called Agree for my contracts, and if you choose to pay online, your deposit will be paid when you sign your contract online, and the remaining balance is charged to that same card automatically on the due date. Whichever works best for you will work for me too!
A 40% non-refundable deposit is due in order to officially secure your date on my calendar, and the remaining 60% is due 2 weeks before the wedding. The remaining balance can be split up into multiple payments if necessary, as long as it is all paid 14 days prior.
